Since its establishment in 1986, Handtmann Ltd has grown alongside its customers, becoming a trusted partner to food manufacturers of all sizes. As part of the Handtmann Processing Group, headquartered in Biberach, Germany, the company has played a key role in bringing innovative processing solutions and advanced manufacturing technologies to the UK and Ireland food industry, helping customers improve efficiency, product quality and production capabilities.
Handtmann Ltd holds a unique place within the Handtmann Group's history. Established in 1986 as the company's first international subsidiary, it laid the foundation for the global network that today comprises 17 subsidiaries worldwide. The UK has long served as Handtmann's primary launch market for new products and innovations, making it an important benchmark for product development and customer adoption. The market also carries special historical significance for the Handtmann family: Arthur Handtmann's mother was English, and some of the company's very first machines were delivered to customers in the UK.

To commemorate the occasion, on Friday 17th July, Handtmann Ltd hosted a special summer celebration, bringing together employees from across the UK business.
The celebrations began at our Leighton Buzzard headquarters with the official reopening of our Test Kitchen, now renamed the Product Innovation Centre, alongside the launch of our company values, reflecting our continued commitment to innovation, collaboration and supporting our customers.
The team then came together in the evening at Horwood House to celebrate four decades of success, reflect on our journey, and look ahead to an exciting future.
The event also welcomed senior representatives from the Handtmann Processing Group, including Divisional CEO Harald Suchanka and Global Vice President Sales & Marketing Romina Müller, who joined the UK team in recognising this significant achievement.
